This is a delicious, vegan chocolate dessert, naturally sweetened with orange then topping with a chocolate crumble topping.  Get the children to decorate them for Halloween if wished. Delicious anytime of the year. You can also served it in little ramekins too.

Dirt Pudding

What’s good about it?

Adding silken tofu to the dessert is a great way to increase the protein content of this dessert.

  1. Place the chocolate and almond milk in a pan and gently melt over a low heat, stirring to combine.
  2. Put the melted chocolate into a food processor or blender with all the remaining ingredients for the mousse and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Make up the crumble topping. Place the pecans and cacao powder in a food processor and process until roughly chopped. Add the raisins and vanilla and pulse to form rough crumbs
  4. Spoon the mousse into glasses and top with the crumble mixture.  Decorate if wished.

 

 

 

Did You Know?

Instead of nuts for the crumble topping you could use gluten free oats or a combination of gluten free rice pops and oats.

Chocolate Mousse

100g vegan dark chocolate, melted

1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk

2 tbsp cocoa powder (or 1 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 tbsp chocolate protein powder)

1 large orange, peeled and pips removed

250g silken tofu, drained

 

Crumble topping

115g pecans

30g raw cacao powder

100g raisins

1tbsp vanilla extract
