This is a fabulous fruity treat – great as a snack, dessert or breakfast option. It works with any fruits so vary according to what’s in season. I have included walnuts and flaxseed in the crumble mix to provide omega 3 fats as well as protein. Other nuts would be equally delicious such as pecans or macadamia nuts.  This recipe is taken from my new book Eat to Get Younger and uses my nut yogurt recipe also found in the book. INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the nuts and seeds in a food processor and process to form chunky crumbs. Add the dates and cinnamon and process to combine.
  2. Mix all the berries together. Spoon the berries into 4-6 glasses, top with a little yogurt and then a spoonful of the nut mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with the nuts. Chill until required.

  • 60g/2oz walnuts
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 60g/2oz almonds
  • 100g/3 1/2oz dates, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100g strawberries, sliced
  • 100g raspberries
  • 100g blueberries
