These are fabulous protein packed little bites. Ideal as a healthy snack and a great post workout recovery fuel. If you’re craving something sweet then reach for one of these little treats instead of a chocolate bar. You can keep the sugar content down by using stevia or xylitol to sweet. Vary the flavours too. I used raw cacao to make chocolate bites but you could leave this out and add vanilla extract or almond extract instead.

What’s good about it?
Using protein powder in these bites helps balance blood sugar levels and reduce appetite – ideal as a healthy snack.
- Place all the ingredients in a bowl except the coconut or almond milk and mix together. Add enough milk alternative to form a stiff dough.
- Roll the mixture into walnut size balls and dust in a little desiccated coconut or raw cacao powder
- Store in the fridge until required

1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
2tbsp raw cacao powder
2tbsp coconut flour
1tbsp almond nut butter
1tbsp coconut oil
1-2tbsp xylitol, ground up finely or stevia to taste
2-3tbsp dairy free, sugar free chocolate chips
1-2 tbsp coconut milk or almond milk
To dust- desiccated coconut or raw cacao powder
